Salma Hayek Shares Her Beauty Secrets

Salma Hayek has long been admired for her beauty and her fashion sense. Now the actress is sharing her beauty secrets through her Nuance Salma Hayek line available at CVS locations nationwide. Salma's grandmother actually was a cosmetologist, so the star definitely has an edge when it comes to beauty. The new line features more than 100 items from haircare to cosmetics at prices between $2.99 and $19.99.

The Mexican-born actress always appears pretty polished on the red carpet. Take the Gucci Fall 2011 cognac leather strapless dress and floral appliqué shrug Salma wore on Day 1 to the photocall for Puss in Boots at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. Gucci also was responsible for her coordinating skinny purple belt and heels. Later that day, Salma attended the opening ceremony and Midnight in Paris premiere in a strapless champagne silk georgette gown with embroidered bustier from the Gucci Couture collection. A satin Gucci clutch and silver Boucheron gems served as accessories.

Boucheron jewelry has been a favorite of Salma's for awhile. She combined some of the brand's pieces with this white Bottega Veneta gown for the 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards in January 2009. As the wife of PPR CEO Francois-Henri Pinault, Salma certainly has access to a lot of glamorous gowns. She occasionally takes a bit of a risk, though, like when she dared to wear this printed frock by Alexander McQueen at the annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party in March 2010.

At the 2010 Cannes Film Festival Robin Hood premiere, Salma looked stunning in Gucci. Her one-shoulder Bordeaux silk georgette couture gown was part of the fashion house's Première capsule collection and featured crystal embellishments. That black satin clutch was also by Gucci. This light pink embellished silk strapless Gucci Première gown was expertly accented by a Boucheron Delilah necklace and gold trimmed clutch for the festival's Palme d'Or Closing Ceremony.

When Salma made her way to the Ed Sullivan Theater for a Late Show with David Letterman taping in June 2010 to promote Grown Ups, she went for a pop of color with this purple Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2010 dress which was paired with nude pumps. For the film’s New York premiere a few days later, the star switched it up in a white strapless Yves Saint Laurent Resort 2011 number. Accessories included red Yves Saint Laurent Tribtoo heels which perfectly complemented that red belt and a black Bottega Veneta clutch.

Paris Fashion Week was a busy time for Salma and her husband this past October. The fashionable duo made sure to take in the Alexander McQueen Spring/Summer 2011 show. Salma wore a lace covered organza dress from the Alexander McQueen Resort 2011 collection combined with lace-up heels. Alexander McQueen was also behind the pale peach one-shoulder chiffon gown with rosette waist detail Salma donned at this year's annual Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in May.
